September 12th 

“…Thus far the LORD has helped us.”

1 Samuel 7:12 NASB

Despite our weaknesses and repeated failures,

Despite our odd and erratic behaviour,

Thus far the LORD has helped us.

Though we have doubted His care so many times,

Asking Him to prove Himself with many signs,

Thus far the LORD has helped us.

Even when we were faithless and turned to our own devices,

He remained faithful and true to His promises,

For thus far the LORD has helped us.

He has shown us compassion, as a father shows His children,

His love and mercy are deeper than the deepest ocean,

Thus far the LORD who has helped us,

Will be the LORD who will continue to save us.
